Musical Direction
Daniel holds an MA in Musical Direction (distinction) from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
As a musical director, he has been described by collaborators as 'friendly, enthusiastic, intelligent and committed' and 'an outstandingly supportive and collaborative accompanist'. Daniel prides himself on the working collaborative relationships he enjoy building with casts and colleagues. He enjoys working with a range of different groups and individuals on productions and projects of all kinds.
Recent musical direction work includes 'Grads Sing Sondheim' at The Other Palace (2022), 'Urinetown' at Chichester Conservatoire (2023) and 'Aladdin' at Esher Theatre (2022). Daniel has also acted as Assistant MD for projects such as the first full-length drama school production of Les Misérables in 2021, and the drama school premiere of Hamlisch and Ashman's 'Smile', for which he was also associate orchestrator. A keen advocate for young people's musical theatre, Daniel enjoys regular collaboration with organisations such as British Youth Music Theatre (BYMT) and other stage schools.
