About Daniel

Daniel is a musical director, orchestrator and accompanist based in the South East. He holds a Master's degree in Music Direction at distinction level from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, which he attended following the completion of a first-class Music degree at Royal Holloway University (BMus).

Daniel is currently musical directing 'What (Is) A Woman', a new solo musical written by Andrée Bernard and directed by Michael Strassen, premiering at the Arcola Theatre this April. 

Recent musical direction and arrangement work includes ‘Legally Blonde’, ‘Flashdance' and ‘Rent’ for Performance Preparation Academy (2023), 'Dick Whittington' and 'Aladdin' for Esher Theatre (2022/2023), ‘SIX: Teen Edition’ for BTA (2023), ‘City of Dreams’ at Esher Theatre (2023), 'Urinetown' for Chichester Conservatoire at Portsmouth Theatre Royal (2023) and 'Grads Sing Sondheim' at The Other Palace (2022). Daniel has also worked on the Musical Direction team for the new contemporary staging of Les Misérables and the drama school premiere of Hamlisch and Ashman's Smile (Mountview 2022). 

 

Daniel is also the provider of a range of music-based services include custom backing tracks for rehearsal and performance purposes, MainStage keyboard programming and click track production for theatrical productions and arrangement & orchestration work for ensembles.
